No More Naps

No more naps for the two year old means...falling asleep anywhere and everywhere.

Falling asleep in front of the TV watching a show

Falling asleep in any car ride longer than 5 mins

And my favorite falling asleep during dinner

Holiday's are Jolly Days

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's came and went.  We had a great time, made some memories and played a LOT.

Halloween was spent trick-or-treating at the care centers by our house and then off to the Ward trunk-or-treat.  The kids got WAY too much candy, but they had a great time.  For weeks after Parker kept asking to go trick-or-treating.

Thanksgiving dinner we went to the Gonzalez's had a fun time, ate lots and played games. Then we did our traditional decorating Gingerbread houses at the Felt's.

Christmas was SO much fun.  The kids were so excited and we did a lot of activities throughout December to keep us busy.  We made candy trains, did our advent house everyday (we do a little something everyday to celebrate the season.  Most of the time it's something little like drink a cup of hot chocolate, but sometimes it is something big like going to a party or a fun outing), decorating cookies and making marshmallow snowflakes.  We played out in the snow, went to see the lights at Temple Square and visited the Grand America's window display.  Some of the kids favorite memories of Christmas were getting new light-up light-sabers and Jedi capes.  It's almost mid-January and they haven't set them down.  Rob and I were happy to spend some time together during the Christmas and New Year's break.  He didn't have work or school so we got his undivided attention for that week.

New Year's we rung in with the Morley's.  We celebrated by eating a BUNCH of great food, playing games and staying up until midnight.  Our new tradition however is to eat waffles at midnight and toast in the New Year with sparkling cider.

Major Catch-Up

I know, BIG slacker on the Blogging front.  I guess I better catch-up and then move forward to better blogging days ahead.

Summer Happenings- we spent most of our summer playing in the backyard, swimming at the pool and eating popsicles.  We had lots of play-dates at the park and BBQ's in the backyard.  We did get a couple trips in, one to Bear Lake, a trip up to Jackson, WY and a visit to Arizona to see our new cousin/nephew.  We had two new nephews born this summer, one to Josh and Cheryl of the Arizona Felt's and one to James and Natalie of the SLC Gonzalez's.

We spent a lot of time tending to the garden and the backyard.  We put up a new swing set/play place in the backyard and spent the rest of the summer playing on it.

I made a couple trips to Brighton Girls Camp to make cinnamon rolls for the staff and visitors.

We had the 4th of July and the 24th.

Rob started the Executive Master of Business Program in August at the University of Utah.

Jackson started Kindergarten.

We found out the we are pregnant with our third child who is a GIRL and she is due in April.

That about gets us through September...
