Open House Blues

I should be cleaning my house because tomorrow we have an Open House scheduled, but I can't seem to get in gear.  Honestly I am kinda tired of the constant cleaning and showing of the house.  We've had lookers, but no offers yet...  I guess that is good since we haven't found a home that we like yet either.  BLAH!  I'm not in a good state of mind about this whole housing situation.  It's not fun to sell and it's not really fun to look.  Does anybody out there have a magic wand that would make this all go the way it is meant to go.  Okay, now I'll get into gear and get the house in "show shape".  Come stop by tomorrow if nothing else to see the fruits of my labor :).

Trying Not to Complain But....

Rob travels with his job and I've come to accept that, but this time around has been a killer. It seems that inevitably something always happens when he's gone. One time it was the swamp cooler that broke down, another time a couple years ago it was the little valve on the toilet that broke and there was water everywhere. We've had trips to the ER and this time around has been the 24 hour stomach flu for us all. Can I just say that cleaning up throw-up and poop isn't my idea of a good time. Jack got sick first right after Rob left, then it was my turn and I thought we were out of it and tonight at dinner Parker had his turn all over Jack and I. Dealing with sick kids and being sick yourself is no fun, not to mention being a single-parent while doing it.

What I've come to learn and appreciate is, that being a single-parent is really, really hard and I am SO thankful I don't have to do it full-time. I also am SO grateful for the amazing support system that I have. Family and friends are my only sanity when Rob is so, so very far away. I have come to dread these long trips for Rob, not only because they are hard on him, but I just keep thinking what will happen this time. Enough complaints- time to re-wash the kitchen floor, change the laundry and take a shower!

First day of Preschool

Jack's first day of Preschool. He is so excited to go and "learn lots of new and exciting things" (direct quote from Jack- LOVE it!)

Fan Fest 2011- GO UTES!

One of our family's favorite traditions is to go to the University of Utah Fan Fest. Each year all the players and coaches from all the different teams get together and put on a meet and great. You can play Basketball with the Basketball players, hit golf balls with the Golf team, etc. The family loves it and it gets us all ready for the upcoming sports season.

Summer Re-Cap

Summer ended and I'm just playing catch-up with the pictures. We headed to the condo in Jackson a couple times a quick trip to Lagoon and some "field trips" to various places.
