Happy Housewives During the Holidays
I thought I would make a top ten list as to what makes me happy at the beginning of this Holiday Season...I have to preface this by saying our dear friend Ann Cannon always used to make top ten lists and that has inspired me. Here we go-
#10- Having my Christmas decorations out and feeling like my house exploded like Santa's workshop.
#9- The smell of Gingerbread houses that my mom bakes every year for us to decorate.
#8- The first snow of the season...this year was quite spectacular!
#7- Getting excited about the giving process of Christmas (I can't wait until Jackson actually knows what's going on)
#6- Holiday Cookies!
#5- Singing and listening to Christmas music
#4- Having great friends around to share the joy of the season with.
#3- Having a beautiful little baby who has now changed from cooing to grunting in a very low man voice.
#2- Having a loving husband who works hard at not only his job, but being a wonderful father, friend and a good person.
#1- The number one thing that makes me the happiest at this time of year is seeing all the blessings that we have been so richly given by our Lord and Creator.
May we all take the time to be thankful for our many blessings at this magical time of year!

Week Updates
Okay, so nothing great and exciting happened last week...just the norm. But this week has presented many new and exciting things and it's only Tuesday!
The best news we've heard for a while came as quite a shock as we were sitting as a Felt extended family at Hires. Josh and Cheryl are here for Thanksgiving with their two boys Alex and Ryan. Last year about this time they lost their baby Luke to a condition called Hydrops. Josh was telling us that on Luke's Birthday, they found out that they are expecting another baby!!! This is such a miracle and we couldn't be more thrilled. We hope and pray that all goes well with this pregnancy.
That's the most exciting news, the week so far has been quite fun. On Monday Jackson had his first trip to the Zoo. We went on such a beautiful day...I can't ever remember having 68 degree weather in November. What a perfect day! My favorite part came in the way of a comment by my three year old nephew Ryan. We were walking through the Zoo, almost to the end and he looked up at Josh and said, "Dad, we didn't see the Velocita Raptors. We must have missed that isle." Grandma and I didn't catch it until Josh repeated it, but we were all laughing.
Here are some pictures of the day at the Zoo as well as Jackson's new hairstyle.
I keep getting an error...I'll upload the pics tomorrow.

Playing Around with the Background

So my dear friend Becca explained how to have a cute background on your blog. It only took me a couple days to figure out how to do it. I thought I was computer literate...we'll Becca you are the Master!
Rob is out of town for the next couple days and I seem to spend my time cleaning and doing yard work while he is gone. Loads of Fun! I really think Jackson was sick of me today...good thing he gets to go to work tomorrow. At Felt Lighting he gets to play with Grandma Debbie, Grandpa Gary, Aunt Abby and Uncle Bear (what more could a baby want than all that attention).
Anyhow, here are some cute pictures of Jackson playing.
Special thanks to the Mayfields who have outfitted Jackson with all the cool toys!

Halloween Fun
Jackson the Pirate, Tommy the Lion and Luke the Cowboy
80's Rockers watch out, here come Rob and Meggan!
The Annual Halloween party with the fellas. Take a special look at the Pope...I think his wife is a pregnant nun. This years party was really fun, and the costumes were so creative. I think one of the winners was Curious George and The Man with the Yellow Hat.
What a darling Pirate!
