Jackson had another fantastic soccer season. It was really fun to watch the change from Fall to Spring...they seemed to "get it". Sure there was still the occasional crying, blanket on the field, picking grass and somersault going on, but for the most part the team really played well. Tiny Tot soccer is a great introduction to a team-sport. Way to go Jack you played awesome and most importantly had lots of FUN!

The Cry It Out Method...

For the past week or so we've been letting Parker cry it out at night and for naps. I really don't like this part of parenthood. I love the end result of sleeping through the night and being able to go down all on their own, but I hate to hear a screaming baby. He's done great and is now sleep-trained, but his sleeping positions have been a little interesting. I came into make sure he was asleep one day and I found him all folded-up...sleeping soundly. Kinda cracked me up. We're all glad you are sleeping well little man! Love you lots!!

Ten Blissfull Years of Marriage!

Rob and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary! Can't believe it has been that long- it has just flown by. Rob suprised me by a night away. We went to Park City and stayed at the Waldorf Astoria...we just happened to get an upgraded room (oh darn). The lobby of the hotel is everything you think a WA to be, but it had that classy/rustic mix you think of when dreaming of the Park City high life. Our room was that and more; it was equipped with two full bathrooms, two fireplaces, a jetted tub, a full kitchen, dining room and 3 flat screen TV's. Can you say we were just a little SPOILED. It was so fun to feel pampered for a night away. Our anniversary just happened to fall on the same day as Mother's day this year, so we splurged a little on dinner and counted that for both. The night away was fantastic- just Rob and I, relaxing- eating gourmet food, doing a little shopping and just remembering why we love and adore each other.

When I say that we have been blissfully married I really, truly mean it. Rob is and has been such a blessing in my life. I was crazy in love with this man 10 years ago when we got married and I am even more in love today. Thank you for the last 10, here's to an eternity!!

A big THANK YOU to Abby my bestest sister in the entire world who came and watched the kiddos while we were away. Our children didn't even miss us at all- who needs mom and dad when you have an Aunt Abby! Thank you again wonderful Abby, you are the BEST!

Grab the Wheel!

A couple weeks ago I was on my drive from work to pick-up J-man from school. It was a normal drive, no unnecesary traffic or weather, just normal. Parker was asleep in the backseat like he is most days (that is his morning nap- the way to and from work). Normal right...that's what I thought too. I was driving along and I decided to change lanes of traffic. I checked my rear view mirror and blind spot, ready to go- I proceeded to change lanes. Just then without really even knowing (it was like I was in a daze of sorts) I came back into the lane that I was previously driving in. Sort of shocked by this I looked over to see a car from the farthest lane that had changed over to where I was going well past the speed limit and did not signal. Had I been where I decided to be in the other lane we would have been in a pretty bad crash with Parker at the brunt of it. As I was shaking off this daze that came over me I started to realize what had happened. It was all I could do to mouth out a Thank You. I have pondered that experience many times since- actually every time I pass that section of freeway (which is A LOT) and what I have come to know is, Heavenly Father is THERE and HE does grab the wheel, LITERALLY! My faith was most definitely strengthened that day. I don't take lightly the line that I say in my prayers, "to watch over and protect us"...because He does. I know that God loves me and my family and I am SO grateful for another life saving experience.
