Jack's Solo

Rob and I were in the kitchen when we heard this...I only caught just a second on video, but he must have been singing to himself for at least 5 minutes. Watch out American Idol, here comes Jack :)!

Confessions

I have to confess...I slept through my 5:30 a.m. workouts this week! Okay, I feel better letting everyone know that I've been a SLACKER. Honestly, I really LOVE going to my workout classes. I started doing this intense 45 min workout class last July. I was at the stage that no matter what I did I could not get the flab from having a baby to disappear. This class did it! So I love it for not only that reason, but I feel a whole lot better when I go and I get to workout with some of my best friends! That having been said, this week I missed out. I only miss a class when we are out of town, sick or I've been up all night with a certain child :). So what was my excuse this week...nada, sleep won. I do have to admit that normally my child wakes up at the crack of dawn, this week he slept in until 8:30 and 9:00 a.m., so my sleeping through my class paid off. I am well rested and a little bit more flabby, but I feel GREAT. Next week I'll be better, I PROMISE.

PaRTY, PaRTY PaRT II

Finally I'm getting around to posting about Jack's 2nd Birthday. It was a fun PaRTY!! We had a fish theme...all the kids had a great time. We are really grateful for Jack and his funny personality. He is so full of energy! Two is a fun age- he's into figuring things out, trying to communicate his BIG feelings with his limited vocabulary. We are working on sharing and not hitting right now...these are big things for a two year old to overcome. Jack LOVES anything with a ball, I think it is part of his DNA. We love having Jack as part of our family. Happy Birthday Sweetheart, we LOVE YOU!

Jack's 2!!

I know 3 posts in one day! Jack and I are just a couple days apart in our Birthday's...it's like two weeks of celebrating! No complaints here! We spent Jack's official Birthday in Jackson Hole with the extended family. We had a super-fun time. We hiked, played at the park, went to the movie UP (Jack stayed through most of it...popcorn and treats do wonders), played with our new Birthday toys and just hung out with the family. Jack will have his little friend party this weekend so we'll get some more pictures later, but here's to keep you updated.

June 2 Birthday/Playgroup

Another Birthday celebration that I wanted to put into another post was spent at the petting zoo with lots of friends! We had so much fun! Then a trip to the play land and my DARLING friends treated me to lunch (not play land food mind you...good salads, cold Diet Coke, yummy sandwiches and DELICIOUS chocolate covered strawberries) Thanks again!

The BIG 30

I know I mentioned that my Birthday was coming up, but did I mention that it was the BIG 3-0!!! I'm fine with it...no big deal right! More life experience behind you and more to look forward to. It's been a lot of fun celebrating. Here's some of my fav's from this B-Day;
- Dinner at Ruth's Diner and a movie after with friends
- Family Birthday Dinners
- Fruit Pizza
- Mountain Bike Baby
- Riding the Mountain Bike

I thought I would take you all on a trip down memory lane. I was thinking of some of my Birthday's of the past. My mom always made a BIG DEAL about Birthday's. It was our day to feel REALLY special. My mom threw great parties. I remember one in particular where we had a Cabbage Patch Picnic. All my little friends were invited as well as their Cabbage Patch Dolls. We had a fun little picnic where my mom made matching bibs for all of us...dolls included. Games, Cake and Ice cream, and goodie bags were always part of the party. My 16 and 17 Birthday's were celebrated down at EFY. I remember when Rob and I were dating he surprised me with tickets to Phantom of the Opera...what a great night :)! I spent one Birthday in NYC touring the new Manhattan Temple. Another year older, but so much fun to look back on and TONS of fun to look forward to. Happy Birthday!
