Night Episodes

I have a confession to make...I sometimes talk in my sleep. This all started when I was about 18 or so. I remember one night my mom coming into my room in the middle of the night and shaking me awake. Apparently I was yelling at my older brother Josh for some reason or another. I was sitting straight up in my bed and screaming at him and telling him what a horrible person I thought he was (which he isn't). That's when I remember my first one. There have been some pretty strange dreams that I've acted out or better yet screamed out. Poor Rob, he had no idea what he was getting into. Just last week Rob called me in the morning after he had gotten to work with a really funny question. He started to ask me if I remember what happened the night before. I told him no and he proceeded to tell me about yet another "episode" I had. This time he was actually talking with me and I told him I was awake and I would remember all of this in the morning. He made good on his end of the bargain but alas the talking slumber had gotten me once again.

Most of the time I end up having really vivid dreams that get me to talking, but sometimes my overactive mind really sees things. I wake up completely scared not to mention pumped full of juice and end up waking most of the members of our household. Good times. I did however want to write down some of the things I've "seen" and remember.
- Big spiders
- People in our room
- A group of Palestinian boys holding a newspaper
- Dogs running under the bed
- Snakes under the bed
- Flashes of light darting across the room
- Old ladies sitting by my clothes

I laugh about it and hardly remember when it happens (for the most part). I'd hate to have some dream reader come and look into my dreams though...they'd probably think I was crazy for sure. Here's hoping there aren't many more of theses night episodes.

Scary...but funny at the same time. I love the old ladies sitting by your clothes. Wonder what that could mean?

Thinking that ANYONE was in my room - old ladies or otherwise - would totally freak me out. Seriously.

It runs in the family. I have told Rich about secret shopping purchases. One time I insisted I was awake and Rich told me if I remembered the conversation in the morning he would buy me something I had been wanting. Of course I was sleeping and didn't remember a thing in the am. Darn
BUT one time I was just really tired and not asleep and when I remembered he owed me a 30 minute massage... I think its better all around to lay off the bets when you sleep talk BUT sometimes it pays off.
Haha anyway you are definitely not alone in your sleep talking!

Definitely not alone. Your brother has done some of the weirdest stuff at night and has no memory at all of trying to beat his wife to a pulp or pull the ceiling fan down. It makes me wonder what your parents did to you guys in the night! Ha ha ha.
