Utah Man Sir!

Shout out to our beloved Utes who were invited into the Pac 10...now to be the Pac 12!! In honor of the invitation Jack had to get a football uniform to celebrate!

Parker Sweet Parker

This baby is so STINKIN' SWEET!! He's getting a little chub on him these days and I LOVE IT! Parker is really laid back, given he's still in the newborn, sleep all-the-time phase, but he just is so even tempered and easy to read. He has such a darling little growl and is just starting to coo a little bit during his awake time. He takes the constant love of his big brother well. Just wanted to share these cute pictures of our changing baby. We sure love him!!

Traveling

Rob has been traveling a TON lately for work. I just got a call today that the plane he was suppose to be on to get him home tonight was cancelled and he won't be back until tomorrow. Normally that would not be a big deal, but we MISS him. When Rob travels I try and keep us as busy as possible to pass the time and not let Jack remember that his Dad is gone. Jack NEEDS to have his wrestling/playtime with his Dad, and that just doesn't happen when he is gone, OBVIOUSLY.

I seem to need Rob more and more these days as the lack of sleep from a newborn and toddler is starting to wear on me. When Rob walks in the door, I am first so excited to see him that I get butterflies of seeing my sweetheart and then the adrenaline of having to be the sole parent and home caretaker releases and I finally allow myself to relax.

I have to chuckle a little bit when Rob gets home from being on travel because the first day he's back is like a Christmas present for the family. We are all really happy to see him and want his full attention and time to play and get reacquainted and then the next day comes and our routine has been interrupted and there is a day of getting re-reacquainted and figuring out how not to step on each others toes. It's quite the little dance we have.

Regardless of the ups and downs of having Rob travel so much, we much prefer him to be home spending time with us, but we are THRILLED when he walks through the door and we can have him all to ourselves again! Can't wait to have you home hun...you are much loved here at home!

Happy "3" Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to Jackson...he is now a BIG 3 year old. We had so much fun celebrating his birthday and telling him stories of when he was born. Jackson is a ball full of energy. He is very observant and likes to have things done his way. We are really blessed to have him in our family. Jack has been asking for a DRIVER for his Birthday ever since Christmas (six months ago). We took Jack to the golf store and bought him a set of junior clubs and golf bag. We also picked up a little grass and T set so he would stop hitting all his golf balls off the sprinkler heads in the backyard. Jack was SO EXCITED about his birthday present that he wanted to have his clubs in bed with him...(mean Mom wouldn't let him). Jack's golfing career can now officially start ;)!

On another note, we had a little friends party for Jack other than the two family parties he had- what can I say we like to PARTY! Jack wanted a "Thomas the Train" party. We invited his little buddies over and gave them each a ticket invitation to ride the "Birthday Express" with Jack. When the guests arrived they each got a train whistle and a party hat. Then we played games, ate lunch, decorated cookies and ate cake and ice cream. We had a really fun time. Parker slept during all of it and was such a champ!!

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure!

A Day Out With Thomas

Doesn't that face say it all...one HAPPY child!
Rob, Jack and Sir Topham Hatt

A while back Jack and I were watching TV and a commercial came on advertising that Thomas the Train was coming to Utah and you could go for a ride. Jack got SO excited and asked if we could get tickets and go. I told him I think we could, but I'd need to call and buy the tickets first and find out about it. That was at 7:30 a.m., the ticket office does not open until 10:00 a.m., the next couple hours were excruciating. I had just told my two-year-old that he could ride Thomas as soon as I bought tickets...well the waiting was SO hard, but SO worth it. Jack had a great "Day Out With Thomas"!

Birth Week Bliss

Started off with a party and ended with a party! What more could a girl want than to be surrounded by friends and family all week long! This has been a great way to come back to "life" after baby. Celebrations started off with the Gonzalez family party on Sunday. Then the week continued with dinner and lunch celebrations, a much needed pedicure, beautiful flowers and a date with Rob, a couple different shopping trips and many phone calls to wish me Happy Birthday! Thank you all for a great week!!

Dressing All The Same

Do you ever get your children and yourself dressed and realize that you have put the same colors and configurations on all of you? I don't know why, but my mood and choice of colors when I get dressed in the morning seems to denote what I put my children in as well. Jack is only now starting to care what he's wearing, so I think my choice of outfits for him will soon change as he will have more say, but Parker-you get to dress like mom for years to come. Am I loosing my mind, or am I just wanting to have a color-coordinated family?
